One of our favourite examples was a birthday party in October: with a limited budget, we transformed a garden with pumpkins, string lights, outdoor sofas, beanbags, shawls, heaters, and a projector for a magical “Hocus Pocus & Sister Act” movie night under the stars. It proved that with imagination, even simple settings can become extraordinary experiences.

When it came to our own wedding, we decided to take on a challenge: instead of spending a huge amount, we wanted to see just how much we could do ourselves. From sourcing local suppliers to physically putting the venue together - even down to hanging the draping by hand - we poured our energy and creativity into making it work.
It was a risk, but it paid off. The result was a day that looked and felt fabulous, filled with personal touches and unforgettable memories. That experience showed us that with resourcefulness, creativity, and a willingness to get hands-on, you can create something truly special without an unlimited budget.
